Well, after putting the correct steering wheel back on I decided to take the set covers off and the seat weren't much good.> | Designer rips were the fashion
years ago but not today ;o)
> |
refitted the correct gearstick gator >
remove the old seats> | |||||
Out with the old and in with the new > | Much better > | As the rear spoiler was snapped, I decided to remove it >
April 2011 > | Good friends Mark and Sue Cropper came to help me remove the engine and gearbox.
With the engine and gearbox out you could easily get to the chassis to do the welding > | Meanwhile I move house and I am now about 1 drive away from where my SS1 is stored. | May 2011 > | While I am not there I get a call so say some bl**dy vandals have smashed the passenger window!!! >
They didn't take anything, just made a mess... > | Luckily I had been donated another SS1, but sadly that car was beyond economical repair, so it was decided that it would be used for spares to get my gold SS1 on the road, plus help out two other friends keep their cars on the road. | Rather than try and replace the glass, for now I will just fit the other spare door >
Looks a bit odd in gold and blue, but it will get sorted! | Tidy up the front shocks and battery tray >
Now they look a bit better!! > | Someone $%@^ pinched my side
indicators!! > |
||||
soon afterwards they were at it again and started stealing wheel nuts!! > | Cheeky gits even left a signature on the car in permanent marker!
August 2011 > | Friend Karl cuts out the rotten bits > | Karl welding in the new piece >
